The High School Diploma, based on the American Curriculum, is formally recognized by the Bahrain Ministry of Education as equivalent to Bahrain’s Secondary Diploma. All courses of study offered by the school, all textbooks and literary works provided to students, bear the approval of the Ministry of Education.
As an International Baccalaureate World School, we were also accredited and authorized to teach the IB Diploma Programme (DP) in 1997, the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) in 2008, the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) in 2012 and most recently the IB Career–Related Programme (CP) in 2019. Currently our school is the only school in the Kingdom of Bahrain and one of the unique schools worldwide to offer all four IB Programmes. We are also authorized to offer the BTEC Business and BTEC Art and Design courses which provide students with a wider range of choices for study options.
All students graduating from NIS will receive the NIS Graduation Diploma. In addition, students also choose to sit for either the IBDP or the IBCP in Grade 11 and 12.
