The NIS PTA serves as a strong advocate for the quality of education and well-being of every student within its walls. It helps to ensure that every child’s potential becomes a reality by engaging and empowering all parents to unite with this undertaking in mind. Our PTA is newly elected every two years and its members include parents, teachers and administrators.

Its objectives are as follows:

  • To facilitate parent involvement by creating and maintaining an NIS Community and in so doing promote consultation, cooperation and positive interaction among all who form part of the NIS Community.
  • To foster and maintain an engaging relationship between parents and the school. This endeavor would bring about a productive partnership to help nurture and blend parental upbringing with effective school guidance to develop sound character and a healthy lifestyle.
  • To develop and help maintain united efforts as will secure for all students the best advantages in their physical, intellectual, social, and spiritual education. In this way maintaining coordination between the school and the home so that the best educational practices and social methods, based on established research, are followed.
  • To support and take an engaged interest in the teaching and learning intentions of the educational programme. In this way they are keeping abreast of the academic progress and achievements.
  • To support and promote the development of school activities. Their management and involvement in all activities contribute to stimulate the effective promotion and marketing of the school. This important aspect helps to widen the students’ cultural scope and awareness.
  • To support and participate in organizing extra-curricular activities, like the school Family Day, cultural celebrations, presentations and inviting expert members from the school community to address students on relevant issues. They actively assist the school with fund-raising by obtaining sponsorships to support the continued development and progress of the school and its facilities.
