NIS MUN
NISMUN, the Model United Nations of Naseem International School, stands as a powerful embodiment of diversity, globalization, and leadership—values deeply rooted in the IB culture. As we reach NISMUN XII in 2026, the conference continues to empower students to step confidently into leadership roles while exemplifying the IB learner profile. NISMUN remains a vital platform in shaping globally minded individuals and preparing students to become the future leaders of our world.
Each year, NISMUN brings together over 300 students for an intensive two-day conference filled with dynamic discussions and thought-provoking debates on pressing global issues. It provides students with the opportunity to explore topics beyond the traditional curriculum—issues that are essential to understanding an increasingly complex and interconnected world. By encouraging collaboration, negotiation, and the defense of diverse viewpoints, NISMUN reinforces the values of diplomacy, unity, peace, and constructive resolution.
The theme of NISMUN XII, “Fracture of the Frame,” centers on the idea that global challenges cannot be understood through a single lens. Instead, the conference seeks to break traditional frameworks and bring together all communities, highlighting the many perspectives, identities, and facets that shape our global society. Delegates are challenged to examine issues through fragmented yet interconnected viewpoints, ultimately working to bridge divides and build collective solutions.
Guided by the faculty advisor, students lead the planning and execution of a simulation that mirrors a real United Nations conference. NISMUN XII is truly an event by the students, for the students, fostering ownership, responsibility, and agency while strengthening leadership and organizational skills.
Over the years, NISMUN has grown significantly in size, enthusiasm, and scope. Students have consistently exceeded expectations, presenting innovative and insightful ideas that respond to an ever-evolving global landscape. To sustain this growth and nurture future delegates, training and participation opportunities have been extended to younger Middle School students, ensuring continuity and development from an early stage.
